Skyliner reported early last week that both VH-ZHA and -ZHB had been sold to Trip Linhas Aereas, Brazil.

However, on Sunday afternoon (22/5), I read on Skyliner that both VH-ZHB and -ZHA had been re-registered N747CZ and N746CZ respectively to Compass Airlines, Arizona. It's now late Sunday evening (2337) in Perth and the report about -ZHB has been deleted from Skyliner.

Can anyone please set the record straight ?

Thanks in adavance.

All 170's are going to Compass - Delta Connection.

ZHC departed last Friday.

Thanks Rob ; so Skyliner's first reports were incorrect.

So when are ZHD, ZHE and ZHF leaving?

So with 3 E70s remaining, what former E70 sectors have changed aircraft type? For example at 8:30 in the morning, you have the HBA-CBR on the ground at CBR (getting ready to go to either SYD or OOL), the SYD-ABX and SYD-PQQ in the air and the CBR-MEL-MQL-MEL-CBR just taking off from CBR. One of those can't be operated by E70, which one?

I think HBA-CBR is now E190, either that or CBR-MEL has gone fully 737.

Yep, CBR - HBA is now 190.

Thanks for that. So how many CBR-SYD are E90 now?

Not sure, haven't been out to the airport in a while long enough to tell. Last time I went out there was two flights from Sydney, one a 170 (ZHC last day in service I believe) and the other was a 190.

There is now a daily 737 service from Sydney which then does a CBR-OOL-CBR rotation meaning there is two 737s overnighting in Canberra, one would go out to Melbourne and the other to Sydney or Brisbane.

EDIT: I stand corrected, DJ287 which used to overnight in Canberra now has a return leg to Melbourne so that 737 would go out to Melbourne the next morning. There is also one less flight to Sydney in the morning so I think that makes only three Virgin aircraft overnighting (as opposed to Qantas's 7, four of which are for Sydney) in Canberra.

Yep, CBR - HBA is now 190.

When was this from? I flew CBR-HBA on the 24th May and it was operated by a 170.

I did it on the 25th in ZPI.

You find over the next few months the 190's will slowly move in on the routes that were once 170's. Over the last few weeks I have also done a lot of SY-CB-SY flights in the 190.

Until all the 170's are gone expect the aircraft type 170 or 190 on a specific route to change day to day.

I was just reading that ex Virgin Blue E170 VH-ZHB was written off in a hangar fire in 2018 in the USA (Republic Airlines/Delta).

Correct. Fire broke out in forward cargo hold.

Triggered by welding

Columbus Division of Fire Chief said it appears welders working on the front portion of the aircraft caused the plane to catch fire.
