According to the Auckland Airport arrivals board QF 8 was due to make a stop into AKL at 05:20 and depart at 07:15? Does anyone know if this is true? if so what rego will the 744ER be?
I have a feeling this could be false info but thought i better check just incase VH-OEJ made a stop in tomorrow morning :D
cheers guys

VH-OEJ operated QF7 yesterday 28/5/11 which means it will be operating the QF8 tomorrow.

Not according to the QF flight status, it appears to be going to BNE from DFW as normal.

BNE airport site shows QF8 as coming in via AKL, and SYD airport site shows QF8 as delayed. Now due into SYD at 1140 rather than 0805. Might be true??

Brisbane Airport shows it coming in at 05:45 instead of 05:00. This would suggest it's not stopping in for us Auckland spotters. Dam, OEJ would have been an excellent catch!

Hi All,
Given that the Return Trip DFW-SYD via BNE is out of a B744ER Range when fully loaded bags and fuel, why doesn't QF simply ops DFW-SYD via AKL for a splash and Dash instead??
The other choice was to swap a A380 for a B744ER on the LAX Route, as the A380 has got the Range in both directions to ops Non Stop.
I am happy to be corrected if wrong.

VH-OEJ/QF8 is currently in a holding pattern near Cessnock so will most likely arrive before 10 am.
