On the 5pm news a report that up to 600 pax are stranded in Puhket after their Stragetic flight (s) have been cancelled for up to 5 days in a row.

A phone interview with one passenger reports that Stragetic are not being very co-operative with regards to alternative flights and apparently the Australian Consulate is supposedly not helping pax some of whom are running out of medication. Pax have been accommodated in sub-standard hotels.

Hi All,

Whay doesn't Stragetic Charter a B763 or maybe a B744 from QF to bring the passengers home?

This would be better PR than doing nothing at all

VH-SSA is in for (U/S?) maintenance in Kuala Lumpur is what I've read. As you know, SSA is their only A332 at this time, so if it goes tech, it's going to cause delays and cancellations for all flights it operates on - MEL-HKT, BNE-HKT, and BNE-DPS. Looks like VC are sending an A320 on BNE-DPS via DRW to compensate for the A332.

Pretty sure SSA was heading for Brisbane or Melbourne and it diverted to KUL enroute.

VH-SSA arrived in MEL earlier today and a short time ago departed as AGC 240; currently north of Shepparton at FL190
