According to my SBS logs, it looks like Virgin Australia VH-YVA may have come into Brisbane very late on the 30 June from Christchurch. I would imagine it is still to enter service.

Hi...
Apparently YVA entered service today as DJ725 MEL to OOL.
Regards,
Steve S
p.s. Not sure what they named YVA ?? ... but YFF is named Wineglass Bay.

I can confirm that YVA did indeed do DJ725 today :)
Here she is on departure from OOL as DJ730, back to MEL.

There isn't a name underneath the maiden on YVA, and there isn't 'Wineglass Bay' written under the maiden on YFF either:

No name on YFF

Thanks Tim, Qantas reuse the 6000s Flight Numbers all the time for different sectors, so this would have been from a previous flight.

The latest Dash 8-400 for Sunstate/Qantaslink, VH-LQE (4371), has begun its delivery flight. Two more are mentioned in Skyliner News, (4375 & 4376), so they will probably follow soon.

It left Downview on the 26th (Tuesday) heading west so should be here this weekend I'd imagine Zac.

Not sure if this thread is only for VH-reg aircraft but thread starter states 'in our region'.
Cathay received delivery of A330-343 B-LAM (1239) yesterday (30th). No doubt it will be in SYD soon.

Just noted on SBS and Planeplotter that VH-LQE is close by at FL230. It is using its Canadian reg of C-GJFZ.

For Canberra or Sydney/where is it now, I wanted to get picture of it arriving with the Canadian rego.
Peter Agatsiotis
31st July 2011, 12:51 PM
Sorry Zac, was in the garden. Itmust be in CBR now, last contact on SBS was 12:04 at 17,000'
(It might not have the C-reg on it, just using it on Mode-S)
Zac M
31st July 2011, 12:57 PM
Usually the Q400s are delivered with the Canadian rego, I would never have made it anyway since I don't have a car, hopefully the next one will arrive on a weekend.

If anyone travels with QFLink, thier 'Spirit' inflight mag for the quarter has an article about the delivery of the Q400's and the different routes they take. Well worth the read.
