It appears has HongKong airlines HX has asked Hong Kong Government for the right to fly HKG-SYD starting end October using A330-200 series

Planned timing is

Days 1,4,5 HX901 HKG-SYD 22:15 332
Days 2,5,6 HX902 SYD-HKG 19:25 332

When Hainan commenced Sydney flights they announced then that Hong Kong Airlines would start a Sydney service at the start of NS 2011.
