sad, but perverse luck glad it wasn't tomorrow, as the place will be full of Netball players, there are over 20 netball courts at the end of Canoon Road
afterthought - maybe he was trying to land (emergency???)at the courts as it is a fairly large flat area

as expected my daughters, as well as all netball games have been cancelled tomorrow
per email:-
Consequently Ku-ring-gai Netball has decided to cancel all games this weekend to ensure we do not impact on the needs of the Police in continuing their investigations.

Very early stages yet- however the crash site is located I'n a dense corridor of airspace known as the lane of entry , a visual flight rules lane connecting the central coast with Sydney. The majority of ga traffic and alot of helicopters take this lane north and the age article suggests the victims (at least the passenger) is a central coast based businessman which makes sense.
Something must have gone terribly wrong given the conditions described by witnesses and the Way the crash site looks , but don't forget the fact that the area around there has quite critical undulating terrain.
Condolences to those involved

Aircraft involved seems to be VH-CIV, a Bell 206L and owned by Davcron Pty Ltd, the owner of which police have confirmed to have perished in the crash.

I was sitting in class this morning and wondered what all the sirens were for. A truly sad incident for the families of the victims. May they rest in peace.
