The US 7th Fleet amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) sailed into Cairns on Wednesday morning, 27th July. The visit is part of the ship's summer patrol to foster positive relations with regional partners.
One of two SH-60 Seahawk helicopter on the rear deck (registration 16???1) and Phalanx CIWS 20mm gatling gun.

There are 52 Officers and 790 enlisted crew members on board the Blue Ridge.
