The schedule changes are happening right now for the LHR services.
QF31/QF32 will be renumbered as QF1/QF2 SYD-SIN-LHR.
At the moment the BKK flights are removed from sale post 25MAR12 pending new flight numbers.
QF29/30 MEL-HKG is expected to be 330.
Amadeus is already reflecting these changes.

If MEL-HKG goes 330, that will mean no more QF 747 services for MEL.
End of an era.

Looks like some schedule time changes for BNE-HKG-BNE and PER-HKG-PER which should free up an A333 to (maybe?) operate MEl-HKG-MEL.
Also looks like BN-SIN-BNE goes B744 as well....

SYD-BKK will be QF23/24 (independent source)

The connection in BKK gives a 2hr turnaround for the QF aircraft, this keeps the 744 on the SYD-BKK-SYD route daily until a maintenece stop is required in SYD
BA cannot realistically depart LHR later than 22:00 or BKK much earlier than 00:20.
Most business travellers would give SYD-LHR via BKK on QF/BA a miss, but you may see some good fares on red-e-deals up the back.
Can BKK sustain a 744 with O&D traffic, probably not.
I can see SYD-BKK going to a QF A330 like AKL-LAX did, then eventually to JQ only to BKK.

I also see the QF87/88 SYD-HKG-SYD has had a schedule time change as well... Now leaves SYD in the afternoon and returns mid morning, this change should also free up some A330 flying time.
Wonder if they have plans to expand A330 flying??? HNL maybe?
Cheers

Now official, MEL-HKG to become 333 service.
QF 29 MEL 14:15 HKG 21:45 333 1234567
QF 30 HKG 18:55 MEL 07:10 +1 333 1234567
So as I said earlier, this now means no more QF 747 services for Melbourne.

Is there any word on when the SCL services will go live?
