United to LA

Anyone know why UA 840 was cancelled this afternoon. I see UA 870 got away to SFO, but nothing on the United website tells me anything about 840.

I understand that UA839 which was due to depart LAX on the 30th went tech in LAX and was due to depart on the 31st from LAX. So there should have been 3 UA arrivals this morning into SYD, 2x 839 from LAX and 1 from SFO. Not sure the nature of the problem but it couldn't be fixed in time is what the F lounge host in LAX was telling me on the 31st as we were boarding UA839.
