The video shows what happens. Story is still developing, but terrible casualty list at the moment. :(

They're saying it hit one of the spectator stands, and looking at the footage it's come down in a near vertical profile. 12 confirmed dead, 25 critically injured and up to 75 others injured is the number being quoted at this stage.

what is does show those news reports that stated the pilot took evasive action in that "if the pilot had not done *something heroic* there would have been hundreds, if not thousands, more killed."
Most of the claims come from fellow pilots, who seem to think that heroism should be the fruit of any airplane crash, and always attributed to the skill of the pilot involved.
From the photo, obvious that the pilot certainly could not have seen or known where he was flying. He certainly could not have seen the horizon very well.
The upshot: Ten dead, scores injured. Not much heroism in that at all.

Thanks Mike
Is anyone able to help out in how to navigate the NTSB site?
I would like to locate the final report in PDF format (If Released) just like on the ATSB site
The NTSB (http://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/reports_aviation.html) site has the last report available acured on 29/12/2010 (Released 18/06/2012)
I'm unable to locate the Reno Crash in the list :(

Such an unnecessary accident. A corroded screw which failed, but most alarming was a whole gammut of undocumented, unreported (to the FAA), untrialed and unanalysed modifications specifically aimed to make the aircraft fly faster.
