Melbourne diversions today 7th October

I noticed Jetstar JQ008 A330 abort its takeoff this morning over home and then diverted to Sydney. I then noticed out another window the A380 Singapore SQ227 coming in to land but that also aborted. I had a look at planefinder and both aircraft diverted to Sydney.

Does anyone know what happened? Other aircraft were landing at Melbourne. There didn't seem to be any fog outside.

QF132 AKL-MEL is diverting to Adelaide. Rego is ZK-ZQH. It is due at 0930.

There was some fog at the airport this morning - it was clear when I cycled to work at around 0630 but it rolled in around 0700 and stuck around around up until about 9ish.

VA12 ended up in Sydney today. Did it try to land in Melbourne? Looks like its not continuing to Melbourne anyway... so 3 VA 777's today.
