Sensational news!
This now means that there is a real choice on this route
Before Jetstar was a far nicer way to fly, but given that Hawaiian have an alliance with Virgin Australia it's great news!
Has anyone ever seen a business sale fare on Hawaiian ?
$3400 return is a bit much!

Sensational news? Why? This service already existed. Does a change to in aircraft suddenly make it 'sensational'?
You could do the trip through AKL with NZ return for $1,427.16 with Credit Card Fee and Taxes but without Travel Insurance, if you didn't mind the extra stop. I'd certainly do it this way to: save money and: avoid JQ (which I do due to past experiences)

Coming from the person who has "Still, huge anticipation of 787 arrival" as their signature.....
Why huge anticipation of a new/change of aircraft ?

I'm with Andrew - it is senstational news. The HA 330s will be new and offers a new product with good fares - why isn't that sensational.

What's the bet QF put the A332 on the route to replace the B763!

QF should have done that a long time ago!

That's your 'Flame'? Because I think the 787 is going to be awesome and I don't think a 330 is?
I'm with you on the Jetstar comment though. Our household has a 'no Jetstar' policy on any and all travel.

Mike, just curious, are you going to try out JQ's 787? I'm also not so keen on JQ but I am still keen to go on 787 even if it will be JQ...

The 787 is just another aircraft with bigger windows to wow people. Its only awesome to the airline cause it will be exetremely fuel efficent and be profitable because of he small amount of seats it needs to fill up on long distance routes!

No, it,ll be QF or NZ I guess, whichever comes first when the right flight pops up? Saying that, it will be a while unless I end up O/S and go with another carrier. Just seeing it in service here will be great, even JQ (just not on board)
