Good afternoon,

My first thread....

Has anyone any information on possible Etihad A330-300 and/or entire long haul fleet seat/cabin reconfiguration?

For those familiar with Etihad seat configuration, the current aircract seat map below shows for instance seat 5A or 7A being the window seat (6C being the aisle, 6A does not exist).
However I am booked on an A330-300 operated flight late January with seat 6A allocated, which Eithad confirmed as a window seat.

Does that mean that the cabin is reconfigured, that the seat number sequence has changed, or that they are removing/adding seats in some sections of the aircraft.

Note that the Etihad website currently says:
QUOTE:
Our seat maps are currently unavailable as we are revamping them. Please bear with us.

Hello,

The EY A330 in J is 1-2-1 configuration.

The A or C seats are both window seats as such - it's just with the A seat the seat is right against the window while the C seat has the seat against the asile with the storage area etc closer to the window.

I've travelled EY J class on a number of sectors on A330 and A340 recently and the A seats (or the far window seats on the RHS of cabin) are definately preferable as it's a very private seat. With the C seat you sit on the asile and it's not as private.

Avoid the seats in the middle of the cabin if you're travelling alone.

Have a nice trip, the EY bus class product is very good!

Dear Adam,

Not quite.
EY configures its aircraft in a unique manner. For instance on the A330-300 currently row 5 has seats A,E,F and K, row 6 has C,D,G and H.
Consequently 6A does not exist in current config, which was my point, because I have been allocated that very seat 6A for my flight AUH/GVA tomorrow. That lead me to think that EY have change their config. Will let you know once I have seen the aircract, stay tuned.

Happy Australia Day everyone
