Hi Everyone,

I was just looking at the Sydney Airport page on Wikipedia, and under the 'Qantas' Section, it says that QF is resuming flights to Istanbul on the 5th April 2012. Now I know that Wikipedia is in no way a reliable source, however I just wanted to check and see if anyone could confirm this or not.

Thanks!

James G.

James G. you must be getting an out of date version of the page.

The version you saw included an edit introduced by an anonymous Turkish user on 3 Jan (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sydney_Airport&diff=next&oldid=469094743), citing a generic Qantas page which said nothing about it. They've made similar edits (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/46.196.33.96) to other pages and that IP address is currently blocked. Another user removed that entry less than 12 hours later, as the citation was junk.

Never ever trust Wikipedia for aviation news/information guys:rolleyes:

It's almost as bad as trusting the media...
