A Sydney-bound passenger plane was forced to return to Canberra Airport after losing power in one engine this morning.

The affected flight, QF1466, departed at 9.15am before experiencing problems in one of its engines.

"The Bombardier Q400 aircraft operating QF1466 from Canberra to Sydney experienced an engine problem following departure," Qantas confirmed in a statement.

"The engine was shut down and the aircraft returned to Canberra, landing without incident at 10.50am. There were 74 passengers on board."

Sounds like a pretty routine incident (The handling of it that is). Wonder of the issue was anything similar to the following video:
