I noticed a Qantas 737 landing at Richmond this morning and has just taken off (1330), looks like it headed towards Sydney.
Anyone know what it was doing out at Richmond
Thanks

Due to the weather issues in Sydney I'm assuming.

Correct Shayne. Also as Greg mentioned, QF128 diverted to Williamtown. :p

Indeed SQ221 diverted to MEL, then flew back here and landed a few minutes after SQ231.

Yep. I was on QF128 and we were in Williamtown for 3 hours. Saw a few RAAFs take off. Thought they were going to escort us back to Sydney!!!! :D

I think it did quite a few circles around Sydney before finally diverting.
Did it attempt to land at all before diverting?

Yes, there were lots of aircraft circling around a few times above Yass this morning, it looked like the "Battle of Britain".
