Evening all,

As mentioned in the last pasge of last months noteworth movements,

China Southern 325/326 tomorrow is being operated by A330-200 B-6532. It has viested previously twice before once on CZ325/326 and CZ301/302.

As I have stated before, these newer A332's for CZ which have GE engines, are not common in Australia. Only seen in Auckland.

No i dont actually haha. I just saw it just passing the border of NSW and QLD and it said Air Italy EI-IGU B737-700. And its trail showed it flew out of Canberra? Maybe it was heading back to Italy haha with multiple stops..?

Hey Rory! Looks as though it might've been operating ASY447 which went from Canberra initially to Manado (Indonesia) and is then planned to continue to Beijing (PEK). Cheers, Rowan

Kieran Wells
3rd April 2012, 10:34 PM
Definately a normal morning departure. Noticing that tomorrows JL771 wont be arriving till evening, so guessing the plane currently operating JL772(JA704J) will do the trip back down in the morning...

Stefan Perkas
5th April 2012, 10:52 PM
If you have an Ipod or Ipad you can use planefinder and the alert fiunction on that. just put in a rego or callsign. Thats how most people find out nower days, I had JL771 on alert and it told me the rego, once it departed Narita.

There is also data.flight24.com and libhomeradar.

Does anyone know why Air Asia X made an appearance at ADL yesterday 9/4? I presume a diversion of some sort from MEL or SYD. 9M-XXA was the rego.

Brock Little
10th April 2012, 09:03 AM
Diverted from PER Steve. I'd assume due to weather in PER because it wasn't on the ground in ADL for long and it looks like it held near PER and then diverted as seen in the playback on flightradar24.

Hi Steve

Perth had a massive old fashioned "pea souper" fog on Monday morning which caused at least four incoming flights that I know of to be diverted to Kalgoorlie or Adelaide.

On another note, tomorrows BA15/15 opperated by G-BYGF. For any rego chaser this is a rare occurance to get the G-BYG* aircraft these days. According to Grahames ACARS it hasn't visited SYD since 04JAN06 and will be only its 4th visit to Sydney.

http://reheatimages.smugmug.com/CivilAviation/All-Civil-Aviation/i-L7GXTwR/0/L/DSC205520120412-L.jpg

The red stripe around the engine should have been extended all the way forward on the B777, rather than the way it is at the moment. I did get a few other shots of it, will post them up on my site later. No shots of the QF94D, it was a bit too high up (FL400) as it overflew Sydney, and I don't quite have the lens range to get those contrail shots.

Andrew: Good shot.

Hope you don't mind, but i used this picture as my display picture on my facebook page ; http://www.facebook.com/SydneyAirportSpotter#

It filmed just about every A380 movement during the day (plus a few others), so I can't help but think it was an Airbus promo film shoot. Most of the work was done at very low level and for the take-off shots it 'raced' the aircraft down the runway before peeling off for another target.

Just logging N888ML , shows as an ERJ-135 on rout to Sydney from BIAK in Papua Nugini. showing into Sydney around 10am

VH-JWD is back again today, again filming the A380 movements from low level next to the runway.

Apparently filming is being done for a new movie by the same guys that made the documentary "One Six Right" a few years ago.

Not really noteworthy.

Rory Delaney
28th April 2012, 02:00 PM
It is to people who would like to see it. And since no one was posting for a day or 2, i thought it would be interesting/noteworthy for some. Didn't ask you if it was noteworthy was it? Whenever i post something that IS in some way noteworthy, all any of you have to say is that it isn't. If it isn't noteworthy, then a helicopter flying around the control tower isn't.

matthew mcdonald
28th April 2012, 03:22 PM
All that Paul said was that it is not noteworthy because it isnt. Singapore Cargo operate a mix of 74F's and 744 BCF's all the time into Sydney.

Also a helicopter hovering that close to the runway is somwhat different because a normal helicopter wouldnt be allowed.

If it isn't noteworthy, then a helicopter flying around the control tower isn't.

In all my years around here I've not witnessed a chopper conducting the sort of air-to-air filming ops as we saw a couple of days ago. And having spoken to the pilot it's not the sort of thing that he's done at a busy aerodrome such as Sydney, and most certainly not with such a big subject (the A380)! His flying skill was to be admired, especially in the challenging conditions that ANZAC Day presented, and from what I saw ATC were most accommodating during what was already a busy couple of days.

Hats off to all concerned!:)

Rory,

You asked the same question back on Page 4 of this thread.

Oh right, sorry again. It's cause i might be going spotting at like 6 in the morning and was wondering any different liveries or different planes are visiting.. eg. Virgin Atlantic new livery, United new livery, JAL 773 etc..
Would be great to see some..

A Qantas A380 flight QF6025 is bound for Manila from Sydney. Saw it on flightradar24.com and http://flightaware.com/live/flight/QFA6025 just incase, and it's right. I just asked my Dad, because he works for Qantas, and he said that they were going to Manila for re-configuration. They are taking some business class seats out and placing more economy seats. Can anyone else confirm?

For the 'rego chasers'..

TG471 is operated by HS-TGO tonight. Departs tomorrow afternoon as TG472.

This should be it's first visit since March 2008 as during most of the first run of the return of the Thai 747-400s it was inactive.
