Does anyone know why this flight was cancelled yesterday?

The reasons that were given at the airport yesterday was that because it got diverted to Brisbane, the crew had not had sufficient rest.

Wouldn't they have another crew ready to go on anyway??

I heard Speedbird 16 talking to Clearance Delivery this morning and thought that was a bit odd for BA.
