Oliver,

If you read your source correctly you will find that the times quoted are for the Melbourne flight. In a sperate section it states that Sydney will get 2 flights a week.

Thursday's CVG (Cincinnati)-HNL-SYD-HKG.

ETA 1710
ETD 1940

Sunday's CVG-HNL-SYD-MEL-HKG.

ETA SYD 1710
ETD SYD 1940 (departs to melbourne)
ETA MEL 2115
ETD MEL 2315

The first service is today and is inbound to Sydney as PAC242 , due just after 6:00pm.

The Sydney only service begins today and the Melbourne leg version begins on the 15th July.

This is exciting - at least for me as I have never seen a Polar Air Cargo live. I know they were servicing SYD back before.

I can only catch the Sunday service (unless chucking a sickie on Thurs), so I hope it will be on time re: ETA @ 17.10PM on Sundays. I anticipate nice, late afternoon light. Any delays though will be challenging for non tripod spotters like me. :D

Cheers,

HB

I think that was my info on another board Oliver.

Yes Stefan one flight to MEL and 2 to SYD however from NW 12 both flights also operate to MEL as well as SYD.

i AM GLAD IT IS HAPPENING. :)

I wonder if any of the older pilots still use 'Polar Tiger ***' as the callsign?

N416MC is operating the PAC202 today, should be landing soon.

Interestingly the Polar Air Cargo 747-400F N416MC that arrived as PAC202, instead of going to Hong Kong is heading to Christchurch as GTI8118 just now. It is arriving a bit after 1am local time.
