Sticking with the theme of QF Group A330s ;), what's going on with moving some of the JQ Australian A330s to the Singapore AOC?

And wasn't a third A330 due to join the Asia-based operations last year but so far, nada?

I have read on another forum that Singapore has made it too expensive for JQ to get SIN AOC with a SIN rego for their A330s.

I was on the understanding that the Jetstar A330s would be operated on the largely unused Valuair AOC. The last I heard was that the A330s are staying on the JQ AOC and the VH register as the first 788s are coming (sometime) next year and those will go across to the 3K AOC, so instead of getting everything ready and in place for the A330s resources were instead going into getting approval for the 788s in place.

Like everything in this business it can all change and should be taken with a grain of salt, but that seems to be a logical explanation.

But then again with Bruce moving on (maybe pushed?) and a new CEO for Jetstar Group the whole Singapore basing of widebodies may be up for review.

According to airlineroute.net (http://airlineroute.net/2012/06/18/jq3k-sinakl-jul12/), JQ replaces 3K on the SIN-AKL route also. Related?

From 01JUL12, JetStar Airways will replace existing JetStar Asia’s operation on Singapore – Auckland route. As a result of the change of actual operator, this route will no longer carry JetStar Asia’s “3K” coded flight numbers.
