It was a typical day in Adelaide with the usual suspects. That was until the Cathay 100th Aircraft came in and the Singapore freighter arrived later than usual. Alaso the QG B763 was unusual to see here. Hope you enjoy the pics;

Did you manage catch a shot of VH-OLL arriving about 20 minutes before CX??

Not a bad place to photograph in the mornings from the Tip-Top bakery.

Sorry, I must have just missed it. I did get this however, just before the arrival of the CX A333.

Great photos though, love the shot of Virgin's first ever aircraft "VH-VBA" and the Singapore 744 freighter. I flew on VH-VBA a few months ago and my first Virgin flight last year was actually on the blue aircraft VH-VBY.

I thought VH-VGA or VH-VOZ was Virgin Blue's first aircraft. VBA didn't come online until well after the launch.

Great photos though, love the shot of Virgin's first ever aircraft "VH-VBA" and the Singapore 744 freighter. I flew on VH-VBA a few months ago and my first Virgin flight last year was actually on the blue aircraft VH-VBY.


VH-VBA was Virgin Blue's first NG aircraft our first aircraft was a B737-400 leased from then Virgin Express and it was registered VH-VGA (rego V Australia's first B773W will take)

Delivered in 2001.

According to aviation letter July 2000 (404) both were registered 9.06.00 ,didn`t say when they went into service.

I was on the innaugral Virgin Blue flight which was VH-VGA DJ214 BNE-SYD AT 0935 31 AUG 2000.

I need to find my return records but i flew VH-VOZ on 25sep 2000.
