I do suggest we all read the table at the bottom of the page, and contact Jetstar regarding their Melbourne - Bali Business Fare. I believe this is a bargain! :D

Schedule is pretty ordinary - very early arrival into HNL and even if you are going to a connecting island, hotels don't normally open for check in until 2pm.

Similar on the return, you would have to be at the airport no later than 5:30 - 6am, and I would imagine if you were coming from a connecting island, you would have to stay the night in HNL.

But I guess the price will be king......

Yes, I made bookings for pax on pretty much the first day of release. MEL people like the whole non-stop thing just like BNE people... So many people just hate the idea of going through Sydney. Yes you're right about the flight timings... but I can say 1) most people will not book early check-in and will "wing it" to try and get a room early, and 2) people who want to go to islands will go straight through, then come back to Waikiki before they come home... massive majority of Jetstar punters from Australia will not venture to islands anyway - if I had a dollar for every booking I did in HNL only!!! But people should go to Maui & Big Island - they're beautiful :) This is all part of our ever expanding love affair with Hawaii, all I can say to people is get in early... there are many dates I look at at the moment where rooms are incredibly scarce in Waikiki, especially over Christmas/New Year - talk about tight.

bad timings or not, i booked 10 days over there next June for my family of 4 and with 20kg of lugguge each i paid $1517 return, gotta love that, i then went and booked a family of 6 return for $2330, it is so affordable
