Mark there are several Hamiltons in our region.
Load factors too low and AKL is just 100km up the road which offers more choices and lower fares.

Public - Airport Rd runs along the end of Runway 36 with a very large grass verge that people park on.
Although Airport Security always Keep on eye on anyone Parked up or hanging around the fence lines to make sure your not up to no good etc and Avsec will approach you during a virgin flt if their out patrolling the fence line.

Its a real shame that Hamilton will loose its last International link.
Don't know the details why the route did not work for VA. If they could not fill a 737--800 why they not try a E190 on it is beyond me, they must be needed elsewhere in Australia. The city has has international flights for a while 15+ years and its not a small city with 200K and bigger than Dunedin which I think will be the next port to get the axe. I wonder if the increase in departure tax was its final blow as its already reducing trans tasman traffic from june to july according to travelweekly.
So will HLZ have no more Jet services now only turboprops to AKL/WLG and CHC?

WOW!!! I lost count at how many shots you took..... Can I ask why so many shots of something pointless fair enough it's the last flight out of Hamilton! (ie just a aircraft taxying)? I can understand a take off or an aerial display but an aircraft simply turning around & taxying?? Why??
