Watch dozens of general aviation aircraft take to the streets of Palm Springs, Calif., as the AOPA Aviation Summit Parade of Planes airs live Oct. 10. Online viewers will be able to chat with aviators and AOPA staff through a Facebook feed on the streaming page, and you can sign up now for an email alert prior to the parade's start at 10 a.m. Pacific (1 p.m. Eastern). 7am HST (3am AEST October 11th for the early risers) For those that haven't seen this unusual parade its quite a different sight to see for those interested.

I was in Palm Springs not long ago when the temp. was around 105F each day.
By all reports the Aviation Museum at Palm Springs is a ripper, but alas, our tour bus did not stop there. This is the main fault with organised bus tours. You don't stop where the real enthusiasts (us lot) want to stop.
Do yourself a favour and hire a car and do it on your own and stop where it really matters (aviation museums and Air Force bases).

For those of you that were not able to watch the live feed here is the link to the parade video of almost 80 aircraft taxiing down the streets of Palm Springs CA. Note the Australian contingent, and several references to various local design companies/products.
