View Full Version : QF763 U/c retract problem?

Hi,
Can anyone advise if this issue occurs regularly.

I caught this 763 departing ADL yesterday and although the mlg's retracted cleanly, the nosegear main doors appeared to stick and it was only after the mlg doors had nearly closed did the nosegear quickly complete its job.

I always believed they retracted at relatively the same speed therefore was surprised to capture it.

thanks,
Tim

That is not normal. Looks like something got jammed up.

What was the outcome of this ocurence?

Adam,
It finally cycled up but was very slow in doing so.
My only other comment would be that they appeared to level out and after it was complete continued the climb.
The aircraft then flew on as normal.

What sparked my question was that I had never seen this before in all my years spotting. I've seen aircraft depart and a delayed retraction of all the u/c but not one component in isolation of the others.
