New NZ ATR-600

We have seven new-generation ATR-600 aircraft on order with purchase options for a further five. The purchase of all 12 ATR-600s would double our ATR fleet and put a further two million seats into the New Zealand regional market annually.

The first of these new aircraft will roll out of the hangar in Toulouse over the next couple of weeks but I thought I would share a quick sneak peek of its shiny new paint job with you today.

Don’t be alarmed, the red is just propeller covers, not some snazzy new design feature.

Delivery thru DRW and BNE .

It has begun the delivery flight to NZ, first sector is TLS-LXR (Luxor,Egypt). Not sure on dates for DRW and BNE yet.

ATR is scheduled to arrive in DRW on Sunday 4 Nov at 1830 local. It will then continue on to BNE arriving Monday 5 Nov at approx 1500 local. All this could change of course, being a delivery flight.

They should keep the red propellers covers as they are very snazzy indeed better than boring white props.
