How many RAAF 737s are there?
I thought there was only one, and therefore have been puzzling over how Queen Julia could be travelling on it to Asia, whilst Chuck and Cam were travelling around PNG and Australia on it simultaneously.

A36-001 flew into Townsville on Sunday evening and stayed the night. It then departed Monday morning to PNG then flew from PNG to Longreach then onto Melbourne.

Don't know if they are still active but the Queen's flight had 2 Bae146'S ZE700 and ZE701.
The RAF just bought 2 secondhand ones as replacements from memory
One of the original ones, ZE700 was here in 1986 for the RAN 75th Anniversary.
The RAF does not have long range VIP a/c so they usually use BA 777's.

One of the Queens flight BAe146 (ZD696) flew with NJS from 1991 - 2005 as VH-NJY.
Another ex. RAF BAe146 (ZD595) flew with NJS from 1998 - 2009 as VH-NJA before it was scrapped.

I just happen to have a photograph of the Queen's Flight BAe146 ZE700, in Sydney on 5/10/1986 (Qantas Jet Base).

Seems the Royal couple have been flown to CBR to be picked up by the RNZAF... BBJ & a RNZAF B757 parked on the MIL apron around lunchtime.

I believe that the two second hand units the RAF bought are painted grey camo and are for use in Afghanistan. Ex TNT QC versions.
