China Eastern to start Beijing – Nanjing – Sydney

Great news for Sydney...

China Eastern starting 21DEC12 will launch 3 weekly Beijing – Nanjing – Sydney service, on board Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Overall MU service to Sydney increases from 9 to 12 weekly as a result.

Reservation for this new route opened after 1200hrs Local Time in China. Schedule:

MU739 PEK1550 – 1750NKG1930 – 0930+1SYD 333 135
MU740 SYD1130 – 1930NKG2040 – 2240PEK 333 246

This will be in addition to the already announced Shanghai-Sydney service increase to 9 a week...

China Eastern starting 14DEC12 is increasing operation on Shanghai Pu Dong – Sydney route, where it’ll increase from daily to 9 weekly flights, until the end of Northern Winter schedule. Airbus A330-300 aircraft operates this route.

Schedule:

MU561 PVG2020 – 1000+1SYD 333 D
MU735 PVG2355 – 1335+1SYD 333 45

MU562 SYD1200 – 1920PVG 333 D
MU736 SYD2130 – 0500+1PVG 333 56

By the looks of the 3 schedules, there will be 3 China Eastern flights a day on Saturday's.

China Eastern currently deploys all of them on Europe routes, LHR, CDG and FRA.

Beijing – Nanjing – Sydney 3 weekly A330-300 service, introduced since 21DEC12, will continue operating on/after 31MAR13. Flight number changes from MU739/740 to MU727/728

Shanghai Pu Dong – Sydney eff 31MAR13 MU735/736 twice weekly service to be operated by A330-200, instead of -300 (overall remains at 9 weekly, compared to daily in S12)
