Flight Aware and FR24 seemed to indicate that it was an A330? Weather was crap, so I didn't head out.

Evening all,
Not Sydney related. but...
Just read via http://fnqskies.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/royal-air-force-tristar-arrives-in.html RAF Tristar ZE705 arrived into Cairns last night. It is due to depart tomorrow morning at 0800. Not something we see in this part of the world anymore.

Shame it won't head further south!
9V-SRG departed at 1430 yesterday, and it actually stopped raining! Further commentary from people based in Singapore seemed to indicate that it was a training flight as well, with the IFE switched off and limited catering. Still, the ScootBiz passengers would be happy on the inbound, and even the Economy passengers will be happier with wider seats.

For those interested, VH-ZXA leaves SYD for the last time on its ferry flight to the boneyard. It leaves tomorrow at 7am, so if the current weather continues, it won't be a good photo opportunity.

Very rare to these in Oz but thanks to a head's up from Gordon Reid a Bae ATP freighter, PK-DGI c/n 2027 ,has just arrived at Bankstown from up north.
The a/c is registered to Deraya Air Taxi which had or still has another ATP (F)
It is using a British hexcode (400AF2) which was it's previous ID of G-JEME.
No idea what it's doing here but It may be a demo for Pionair/Toll but that's purely guesswork.
Will try and get a photo today or tomorrow.
