Guys just looking at the Lima 2013 Airshow at Lankawi, Malaysia. and the participation from the regional and far flung Airforces looks great.

RMAF:
3x Su-30, 2x F-18D, 7x Mig-29's, 2x 108/ 208 Hawks, 1x-S61, Super lynx, Cn-235, CL-145, Mi-17

USAF: 2x F-18F, C-17, 2x PACAF F-16's, SH-60 Romeo, 1x P-3C

RTAF: 2x Saab Grippen,

French AF: Dassult falcon, 2x Dassult Rafale.

RAAF: 1x E-7

RSAF: 2x F-16D, 1x AH-64

RAF: 2x Typhoon

OMEGA KDC-10.

And other associated aircraft but the draw card for the event is that the Russian Knights are attending with 4x Su-27 and 2x Su-27UB's and they are confirmed for the show, with an IL-78 Midas as well.

I'm going to Avalon but i would like to hear from anyone out there that has been to LIMA before and give me some tips because i definitely want to go.
just wondering what accommodation was like, i think flights with Air Asia X to Lankawi via KL from YSSY are around $535 return for those dates. so pretty cheap but i would like advice if its easy to get around from anyone that's gone before considering Ive never been there before.
Cheers.

Lima is a good airshow and static line, and the resort areas are nice in between the flying. There's no trade show to speak of compared to AVV or Paris/Farnborough/Singapore.
