I have a question that's kind of related to the new special decals on VXG & VZU... is there a 'science' to the decision to put the decals on those particular airframes or is it the luck of the draw / right place right time? Asking because on any given night SYD must be spoilt for choice of new roo 738s that could've scored the decals. Cheers!

Looks like its A6-EDY as EK8388 and VH-OQJ as QF6600 for the flyover. Callsign 'seismic'. Wish the sun would come out

Wondering why the Emirates not being pick up on ADSB?
Ok it started showing after Watson's Bay on the easterly leg. Strange.

Only heard TWR use Emirates and Qantas callsign on finals 34L

Wondering why the Emirates not being pick up on ADSB?
I think the transponder is switched off ads-b mode for formation due to TCAS issues. They act as the one aircraft for the purposes of the formation hence the one call sign

Ads-b mode does not affect TCAS.

Heads up,
Tomorrow we farewell the Speedbird Jumbo from Australia with G-BNLF opperating the final flight before the switch to 77W. Another 747 livery erased from our skies :(
