Hi all,
I didnt notice anything posted in the forum regarding this. Today at around 1pm a Qantas A380 did a low flyover directly over Circular Quay (my office) heading south and then turned and headed East just over centre point. Then it climbed turned and headed North.
Anyone know the reason for the flyover?

Some info from a.net:
In a tribute to former CEO and non-executive Director James Strong, Qantas will be performing a flyover of the Sydney CBD with an A380 this Monday at 1pm. Approval has been granted for the flyover which will see the A380 flying low and slow across the CBD at 1pm, an hour before the memorial service starts in Angel Place. The aircraft will track from north to south and follow George Street at a low level. Should be a wonderful and spectacular sight and a fitting tribute to a wonderful Australian. If you are in Sydney on Monday be sure to grab a spot (centrepoint tower...?) for some great shots of the flying kangaroo.

Hi David,
I believe it was a tribute to former Qantas Director, James Strong, who passed away last Sunday & had a memorial/funeral today. Aircraft was VH-OQF.
