Unusual night in CBR tonight, at least by my experience, with 3 of the 4 newest QF 73H overnighting. XZD in from ADL, XZC in from MEL & XZA in from PER! Not sure I've ever known CBR to have so much new metal from QF in a day, let alone all together!? Cool!
Zac M
13th April 2013, 12:15 AM
Since I've being working at CBR we have only ever had one XZ* series overnighting at a time, that said I have had one night which the oldest overnighting aircraft was VZL!
Also worthy to note that TJI was parked next to XZD...oldest + newest shot taken!!
Rowan McKeever
13th April 2013, 09:20 AM
Hadn't thought of that with TJI, good point! Very cool seeing that last night :) A very clean & shiny line up of QF 73H to say the least!

No. No I will not. You've set the bar quite high and I expect you'll live up to those standards every single time!

Speedbird 777 spent the night at the freight shed. Scheduled to depart this morning at 7 am as per flightaware. Doesn't appear to have made a move at this stage tho.Are you referring to BA16? What is the cause of the delay?

That's uncanny as the inbound BA15 to SIN from LHR was delayed for the exact same reason.

Thanks Rowan. Guess the extra delayed flight was not reflected on the SIN flightboard as the BA16 for 22nd arrived in SIN at 00:49 (23 Apr)

Polar/DHL B767-300ERF N644GT scheduled to make it's first visit tonight operating PO4011/12. If it runs on schedule it will arrive around 1930.
A bit touch and go to get shots of this arrival at this time of the year! Be a good test of everyone's photogrpahy skills and equipment.

Saw a HAL near the coast, thought it was odd. Checked it out and found this:
Hawaiian Airlines from 01APR13 to 31MAY13 is increasing Honolulu – Sydney operation, as overall service increases from daily to 10 weekly. Service will be operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Anyone know where -QPA is currently heading?
It's a 40000ft over NT heading towards Singapore as QF6019.
Is it a delayed flight or a maintenance visit?
Nigel C
26th April 2013, 06:06 PM
Methinks maintenance or a paint job with a flight number like that.
Happy to be corrected...well, most of the time...!

I did hear a whisper not long back QF were going to start painting these A333's.
Whilst getting off -VZZ at PER on Monday -QPA pulled up alongside and the paint looked more like talcum powder than paint, it did look very sad.

The rumour has been around for a long time, apparently they were going to do a Wunnula inspired paint job on one. Wether it would be a new scheme or Wunnula or something else who knows.... Time will tell I guess.

Yep, media on site and a DHL rep. After they shot this they had to scoot to Bay 3 T1 where a water salute was given by the ARFF as it crossed 34L onto Alfa-1 then into Bay 3.

I particularly love this quote from Nigel's link:

The Sunday/Monday flight goes to MEL I think.... Well it did last night! Arrived into MEL 2330 & departed to ICN at 0150. Not sure if this was a one off or if its part of the schedule?

PAC4011/12 and PAC246/7 are the flights we get now which are all mostly from Narita and are both operated by the 2 767-300F's.
There is no more CVG - HNL -SYD so there is a high possibility we no longer will get the 747 Freighters unless they occasionally operate one of the 2 services which from what we seen does not seem to be the case unfortunately.

Read on its own, that line seems weird. Earlier on, the article mentions that DHL have doubled the number of flights from 2 to 4 weekly.
I am assuming that Narita is getting all of DHL's 747 flights from the USA, & then our freight gets sent here using the 767F's.

G'day everyone,
I'm trying to identify a six engine turbo-prop aircraft I saw departing Brisbane southbound the day after Anzac Day. It was about Hercules size.
Can anyone help please?

Looks like everyone is too nice to tell me I am an idiot.
All I can say is that I am not the first to see a Hercules with wing tanks and think it has six engines.
At least I have discovered Web Trak and have a membership here as a result.
