I have been monitoring EK419 CHC-SYD-BKK-DXB over the past week as we are flying a couple of these sectors soon. The flight is often late, but today I was astounded.

According to Flight Stats the aircraft was late out of Christchurch 18 minutes late out at 4:13pm, however, arrival time in Sydney is shown as 8:20pm - 185 minutes late!

Did this flight have to return to the gate? It's a QF code share so perhaps our Sarah C or someone of similar connections may be able to reveal the issue with this flight which only has a 60% on time rating.

It looks like it didn't push back until 18:56.

Hence I thought it may have returned to the gate for some reason.

No insight from me Trevor, we don't have any data on the codeshares or even Jetstar flights. I thought Mark's information would be right - once it is away from the gate, it is recorded as departed.
