Hey guys, right now (13.20 6/10/13) on Flight radar there is what appears to be a very low (500ft agl) lear jet tracking north up the coast, just past Terrigal.

He appears to be travelling at 238 km/h.

How low can you legally be? Hmmm, now he just disappeared, is there a field around there?

Probably just having some fun down low . It's a perfect day for it . It is legal to fly at 500' in that area , in fact there is a published low level corridor just for that purpose . I would suspect that the Lear was one of the Nowra based craft , and if so , I can assure that they get a lot lower than 500' when working with the RAN . Incidentally there is a G4 also doing a scenic run up the coast , presently just East of Newcastle at around 500' also , registered N1 of the the US FAA ... What a great day for it too ..
