Hope I'm not double posting, did a quick scan and couldn't see this:
Etihad Airways is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House this Sunday with a spectacular flyby! #EtihadSOH to share pics was their Twitter post.

Anyone have times as I cannot see it anywhere?

I'm guessing there's a commercial arrangement between SOH & EY (similar to Emirates Melbourne Cup) but I have to ask the question anyway... why EY??

Another reason why QF is NOT the spirit of Australia...

Because some airlines understand that joint marketing with the Australian tourism industry, resulting in increased numbers of travellers to Australia is as good for the airline as it is for the tourism industry.

Other airlines just don't get this.

According to @SydOperaHouse the flyover will occur at 10:50AM

Tomorrow: An Etihad Airways A340 jet will do a low-altitude (365m/1200ft) over the Syd Harbour for the @SydOperaHouse's 40th bday.

I saw ETD9240 fly over the harbour - only down to approx 2300 feet.
The flight took off from YSSY at approx 10.25am and then held north of the city before routing over Long Reef and down to the harbour for two passes before returning to YSSY.

Cheers
Mark

2300 ft. What a waste of time.

EY is the official carrier of the Sydney Opera House.
