Since late October, the Gold Coast has lost the following flights
OOL - PER
OOL - HBA
OOL - KIX
The PER and the HBA flights had good loads, so who knows what Jetstar are doing.

"Good loads" does not necessarily deliver sustainable returns.
In order to fill seats, Jetstar has been forced to discount heavily; a result of irresponsible over-capacity in the market by all airlines. Supply has outstripped demand.
These markets must have been too thin, or completely unprofitable. Jetstar, must deploy their assets on markets that will derive maximal, and sustainable returns.

I flew HBA-OOL return a few times and each time the loads were extremely low. The last time, the flight was cancelled and pax put through MEL.

I was at Narita in October and it looked like a Jetstar graveyard.
