Hi all,

Planning an overnight spotting trip during the year and I'm trying to work out a place to stay for the one night. I'd like to stay somewhere reasonable but I'll only be 17, and from what I've seen I'll need to be 18 in order to hire the room? Is there any workaround for this or will it be ruled out staying overnight?

Thanks for the help,

Mitch

Hey Mitch, you might want to check with the hotels direct but as long as you have a credit card I don't think age should be an issue. Even if you pre pay the room they will want a credit card imprint for a bond, so you don't use the phone to ring all round the world and try and do a runner with the TV! Rydges has a plane spotters package but is not as reasonable as say the ibis or formula 1, hope this helps. Paul

Thanks Paul, I was looking at the Ridges but I contacted them and got this response - "Unfortunately you will still need a guardian with you as you are not of legal age by law to sign for a room."

Might just have to be a day trip until next year...
