Looks like BZG has been put in to storage at MEL, all senses and pitot tubes and APU openings have been covered over along with engine covers.

Interesting.

I don't understand why they would store a very young 737-800, but still operate the two 737-700's.

Bit odd wonder what the story is.

They are taking turns to park a 737 for 6 days at a time to avoid going through the full storage checks I believe because of over capacity

There's quite a discussion on Pprune in regards to VARA and deferral of ATR's - http://www.pprune.org/australia-new-zealand-pacific/531896-virgin-puts-brakes-vara.html

There seemed to be a VA B738 parked at CBR all weekend... would that also have been part of the over-capacity issue? It (or another one) was in the QF hangar a couple of mornings last week as well...

FVR is one unlucky aircraft.

Severe tubulence and crew member breaks a leg and five day later suffers a bird strike.

Is the aircraft still in Albury ?
