Recommend a photo spot for me.

Hi All ,

Im new to this forum , Im Matthew from Brisbane i occasionally go out and get photos at Brisbane and Coolangatta airports.


Im flying down tomorrow for the day and have around a hour from when my flight gets in JQ401 (also my first time flying Jetstar) to when i will have to leave the airport to meet up with some friends.

Ive got between 07:40 - 09:00 to get photos , since I've never taken any photos from Sydney airport is there any recommendation of which spot to go to for photos ?

Hi Matt,

Since you're coming in the morning and on foot, I would recommend shooting from the departures roadway between T2 and T3 if 16R is in use. There is a set of stairs leading down to the ground level just past T2, somewhere around there is a good spot to stand.

If 34L is in use then the best spot to be would probably be the very end of the Jetstar pier around gate 57-59. That will allow you to see out to the runway and to the international terminal, plus get a good view of the domestic stuff coming past.

The stairwell is your best bet. Modest focal length required. It is on the curve of the road which leads away from T3 towards T2. You will not miss any action from here except if there is a Dash 8 parked in your line of vision. All the very best from all of us here in Sydney.
