The door locations on VUY are the same as every other 737. All the fuselage's are built the same in Wichita.

Doors

The port door is larger than the starboard door. Hence the optical illusion.

I always thought the starboard door sat further forward.

Boeing diagrams clearly show the starboard door being positioned further forward on the -100 and -200 series, but not on later models.

There is an extra window on the starboard side on all 737 models.

Although the starboard door is smaller, it still seems to me that it sits further forward. Must simply be an illusion.

I'm not saying they are different than other 737s at all.

Any idea when VUY will be back in Melbourne?

Are there any differences between doors on 737NGs and the older models? The -400s seem to have different windows on L1, or so it seemed to me.

Purely cosmetic, as far as I can tell. The -100s, - 200s and the oldest -300s have a slghtly different door operating handle (identical function/operation).

Unless my eyes have deceived me, I saw VH-VOX in Sydney this arvo (Tuesday) with the same titles -VUM has received.

It was parked near the runway 25 fence.

Brian Wilkes 8th February 2011 10:48 PM

VOX has just come back across the ditch after going a C-check!

VUZ has entered service, operating DJ346 BNE-MEL this evening.
