Ta mate, they must be doing well!

All freighter flights are MOSTLY driven by inbound demand. There is also another freight airline that could be joining Cargolux by pulling out of SYD in the very near future...... Time will tell if this happens or not!

Thai Cargo...

Stefan Perkas 14th March 2012 08:38 PM

Looking at the Thai schedules the cargo flight has stopped.

However from May 15th the schedules are showing

TG865 ETA 2005 arrives Tuesday
TG866 ETD 0700 departs Wednesday's

The site is showing a B74F (Which could imply a Southern Air Freighter, which Thai lease their B777F from). it doesn't look a passenger flight as both pax flights are there and plus they operate with a 4** flight number.

This is just a theory that it could be a freighter, all info is from the Thai cargo scedules.

Two points Stefan,

Thai retired their 2 of their oldest 744s a while ago, they might end up being operated by Southern Air as they were intended to join the Thai Cargo fleet this year.

However many operators still using 747 classics refer to them as "747" "747F" "74F" in most cases trying to avoid using the "200" so there is a chance the Southern Air 747 classics might operate the flights.

I have been told Thai Airways with convert two of their 744's into Frieghters within the next few months.

Thanks Shayne and Tim.

I was not aware of the conversion of the B744's. Hopefully these flights come true.

Stefan, 747-400BCF confirmed and expected around May. TGH and TGJ(ex Royal Barge) are the two for conversion.
