Hi All,

Nigel, if Qantas can spend time and money applying decals, and that is all they are on the 737, then why can't they do it to a A380??

Nothing to do with sacking staff at Avalon.

The Poms would pelt it with snow at Heathrow !

I hope this works out better for the Aussies than 'Bring it On !' did. That didn't go too well, from memory ! :p:p:p

Methinks the cost of decals on a B737 might be just a tad less than that of an A380. Oh, and there's the minor inconvenience of an A380 needing a heavy maintenance hangar to have the decals applied.....
Now, weren't the sacked staff from Avalon in heavy maintenance? And it was to do with cost cutting through a lower work requirement forecast, right?

Somehow I don't think it would go down too well. But that's just my opinion, and you're entitled to yours.

Interesting with VNC for TT that the tail is more an orange than the original yellow...

Are the decals on VXA planned to remain on after the Ashes tour? I'm assuming no...

If the Aussies win, then YES. If they get thumped (again !), all bets are off.

Amazing storm last night as curfew approached at 11pm. The final aircraft to land looked to be QF555, however on their final approach to Runway 07, the ILS failed and the QF555 crew reported lightening (not sure if they said they took a hit, or it was just near by). The outcome was a go around, initially a climb to 3000ft, then a track back to Brisbane as curfew had kicked in. Meanwhile one of the Air Ambulances was holding over Glenfield waiting for conditions to improve, and corporate jet VH-OCV was holding to the south east off the coast from Wollongong.

You have to love FlightRadar 24 and Live ATC to watch and listen to all the action in real time.
