From what I gather looks to be an error on some acars. HS-TKB doesn't appear to be coming to Sydney but I could be wrong.

TG475 doesn't depart BKK for another 5 hours. TKB was in BNE to operate TG474 back to BKK.

The Il96 is a rare beast down in this part of the world.

Was quite exciting to get a cargo one in Adelaide a couple of years ago.

Is it just by chance a US navy C-37 is in at the same time? Conspiracy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

20 years since I've seen one of these 1992 Avalon airshow, Ryan I missed that polet il-96 by 15 mins my flight left prior to that landing....

It's just like that time Indian AF sent there Su-30's to England for exercises with the Typhoon's and USAF RC-135 Cobra ball rocked up just as the exercises began, I wonder why.....

Oh the irony, 20 years later I miss it by 15 mins! :mad:

That gulfstream has been here for a few days already, it went down to Canberra and then came back yesterday around mid afternoon along with another one.

Just wait for the wonderful :rolleyes: smell of unburnt Kerosene when the Il-96 blasts off...

The -300 isn't as smokey as the -400T is it (From the vids I've seen)? The noise should be interesting, hopefully someone can video it. :)

Did Aeroflot bring one of these to Sydney during the Olympics? I remember seeing either one of these or an IL-86. But I can't imagine they would fly one of those heaps of crap out here.

I got sent a pic of this plane parked today but the fence is in the way. Also a pic of Cathay cargo 747-8.

Hopefully it might brake down and depart on the weekend.

Yes Brett, we had 2 IL-96's at the Olympics, one Aeroflot and one Domodedovo (the latter parked at BNE but couldn't get a side on shot as there was a B727 in the way)
