Afternoon all,

Hawaiian Airlines A330-200 N393HA is operating HA451/452 tonight. This will be its 1st visit.

Andrew Coggan 27th July 2013 11:07 PM

Swaziland MD-87 3DC-SWZ arrived from Narita via Port Moresby and has since departed to Canberra.

Andrew was that departure just after 9pm tonight? Something took off to the north past our house then banked left. It had the strangest engine noise. I raced out the front but by then I couldn't make out the type. The sound had me intrigued. Nothing showed up on Flightradar24

Tim Bowrey 27th July 2013 11:37 PM

That would have been the ADB An-124 as it ran quite late tonight Steve heading to POM.

Steve Crook 28th July 2013 12:18 AM

Many thanks Tim. It was a sound quite unlike any other aircraft that usually comes to our shores....or airspace.

Tim Bowrey 28th July 2013 07:42 AM

Cathay's newest A330 and the 1000th A330 B-LBB is making its first appearance today as CX101/100.

Ha I did the same thing then came back in and wrote down the time (917PM). Nothing on flightradar24 but an hour later the webtrak replay site (the aircraft noise monitoring service) confirmed it was the AN124.

Brock Little 28th July 2013 05:44 PM

The AN124 is coming back from POM this evening. ETA 1830. Flightaware

Shows as 'scheduled' on FlightAware however it has appeared on http://www.balus.info/ a couple of minutes before I posted this, so it is enroute.

Would it get out before curfew because it was planned to do a couple of these flights?
