March Noteworthy Movements!

First noteworthy movement for the new month was VH-TJW (no titles & no roo on the tail) ferrying out to Apia as QF6027. It departed runway 16R!!

Shayne G 1st March 2012 02:23 PM

VH-TJW is continuing on to HNL from Apia. It appears to be ferrying to somewhere in the US for storage.

These QF 734s, 763s and B744s are starting to drop like flies! :(

Stefan Perkas 1st March 2012 02:23 PM

Afternoon all,

Looking at flightradar24 VH-OJT inbound as QF6022. I presume arrving back from Guangzhou and in the new livery.

Jayden Laing 1st March 2012 06:16 PM

Best photo I could grab of TJW this morning before she ferried out.

Jim M 2nd March 2012 12:43 PM

According to ACARS 16 right.com QF108 that arrived this morning was operated by
A380 VH-OQI. This is a bit unusual for this flight, anyone know why?

Cheers
Jim

Rowan McKeever 2nd March 2012 01:05 PM

G'day Jim

Looks like there was no QF11 out of SYD on Wed and no QF12 scheduled into SYD today, from QF website. So assume they operated the single service as QF107/108 because of the JFK tag?

Cheers
Rowan

Jim M 2nd March 2012 08:46 PM

Thanks for that Rowan,it makes sense now.

Cheers
Jim

Movement being the key word - it will probably be gone by in a few hours!

Jaryd stock 4th March 2012 11:17 AM

For a real movement, ANZ 119 is ZK-OKO 777-319/ER arriving 2pm...

Brad Varney 4th March 2012 05:16 PM

VH-SUN left about half an hour ago I think. :(

NeilP 4th March 2012 07:41 PM

It's in for further maintenance. My source tells me it will be replaced for a few days by G-RAIN...

Shayne G 6th March 2012 01:15 PM

We should have Monarch 752 due in sometime this evening, reg should be G-MONJ.

Cheers to Lloyd for heads up:

Cheers.

Shayne G 6th March 2012 02:09 PM

Thanks Lloyd, just saw it on radar now inbound to Sydney. :)

Lee G 6th March 2012 09:40 PM

Estimated 1010 departure on Monarch tomorrow, also Korean is HL7495 (Welcome to Korea)

Stefan Perkas 7th March 2012 12:01 AM

Morning all,

Both planefinder and libhomeradar confirm that CZ325/326 today 7/3/12 is being operated A330-200 B-6531.

Looking at 16right. the aircraft has visited once before on 11-11-11 as CZ325/326.

This is not a common one to visit Australia, it is mainly seen on Auckland flights. The A332's that visit Australia (mainly Melbourne) are B-6056/6057/6058 & 6059.

Brad Varney 7th March 2012 11:13 AM

Hawaiian 451 is due in at 10:30pm! No chance that it'll make it out before curfew, so you'll see it depart in daylight tomorrow. :)

Jaryd stock 7th March 2012 12:48 PM

Here's a shot leaving today for somewhere...Actually I thought it was going back to NZAA, can someone confirm this or not please?

Shayne G 7th March 2012 01:44 PM

Yep went back to NZAA.

Jaryd stock 7th March 2012 02:50 PM

Brad can you let me know where your info came from, Hawaiian 451 is due in at 6:45pm tonight....
And thanks Shayne..

Rowan McKeever 7th March 2012 03:47 PM

Hi Jaryd - SYD and HA websites both show a scheduled arrival for HA451 of 1920L and estimated arrival of 2221L. HA website is optimistic showing HA452 departing at 2245L tonight!! (SYD website shows 2255L)

Jaryd stock 7th March 2012 04:05 PM

That's ok just wondering, info that I was given was for 19:00 arrival thats all...

Hey Jaryd, this is where I got my info from, http://www.flightstats.com/go/Flight...campaign=co-op hasn't been updated for 160 minutes apparently, so the arrival time could've changed. Nice pic of the Monarch 757. :)

Jaryd stock 7th March 2012 06:35 PM

Thanks Brad, reason I asked is I'm trying to get out for some 763 shots before daylight saving finishes in a couple weeks, considering HAL will be sending A330's from middle of year...

Rowan McKeever 7th March 2012 09:01 PM

G'day Jaryd. Was more suggesting that a 24 min turn for an international 767 was a bit of a stretch as opposed to anything else. Just checked SYD website and it's showing as ETA 2205L and ETD 2255L. Haha 50 min I can almost believe!

Brad Varney 7th March 2012 09:45 PM

Crap! 2255, wander if it'll make it out or not.
No worries Jaryd, i'm trying to get some photos of them as well, mostly the winglet one's.
It's petty hard for me to see Hawaiian. :( Shame they wont come in an hour earlier when daylight saving ends. eg 1820

A very well down job by the crew, ground, ect I bet they were pushing the passengers onto the plane :D haha
I wander if an A330 could've done a turnaround as fast as that?

Rowan McKeever 7th March 2012 10:04 PM

According to HA and SYD websites HA452 departed SYD at 2257L, having arrived at 2203L. Pretty decent effort!!

Edit: just heard it on radio and definitely made it out. Sounded a lot like an Aussie pilot.

Blake Riley 7th March 2012 10:07 PM

11.06PM Hawaiian just departed 16R

Jayden Laing 8th March 2012 06:47 AM

Morning all,
EY450/451 is operated by A6-ETJ! This is a brand new 77W for EY & its first visit to SYD.

Sarah C 8th March 2012 08:38 AM

Obviously a lot of weather issues today but QF50 from Auckland diverted to Richmond this morning.

Newcastle visitor

Apparently Newcastle has an unscheduled visitor today....

Quote:

A QANTAS 747 flight carrying 220 passengers and running low on fuel has been forced to land at a regional airport this morning.

The flight, en route from Hong Kong to Sydney, was diverted to Newcastle’s Williamtown Airport where it had to be refuelled at the RAAF base.

Airport spokesman David Nye told the ABC it was unusual to have such a large plane land in Newcastle.

"There's been a few that have come through over the years but you'd be lucky to see one more than once every two or three years," Mr Nye said.

"It parked on the RAAF base side of the airfield and has been refuelled there."

Qantas spokesman Luke Enright said half a dozen domestic and international flights were affected by this morning's torrential downpours but all had since returned to Kingsford Smith Airport in Sydney.
