November Noteworthy Movements

All Sydney noteworthy movements here..

It appears we have our 1st Cathay Pacific 747-8F visit on the 7th or 8th Novemember 2011.

Looks to be a very 'next gen' month with the 787 also due.

Stefan Perkas 3rd November 2011 12:38 PM

Airliners.net saying that B-LJE will now be going to Narita on the7th. After orginally scheduled to operate SYD-MEL.

http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...in/5294155/#29 orginal statement about SYD-MEL flight is reply #12 of this link.

Shayne G 3rd November 2011 01:22 PM

That is unfortunate however I am quite confident the 747-8F will visit in the coming weeks. ;)

Nigel C 3rd November 2011 01:58 PM

Last week they were planning on it visiting this past Tuesday and even had linemarking done in preparation.

Lee G 4th November 2011 12:37 PM

Nigel, where do they intend on parking it?

Mario Facchini 4th November 2011 12:42 PM

Was out at the beach yesterday and saw this come in

Lee, Bay 4a is one bay that's been marked as far as I know. I'm pretty sure this one allows for Code F aircraft and nose loading. I'll confirm tonight.

Alexander.L 4th November 2011 02:37 PM

Does anyone have a map of where the bays are listing all the bays?

Jaryd stock 5th November 2011 06:20 AM

Emirates 412 is A6-EDN, RWC decals in today been in a bit I know but it's the weekend maybe someone is hanging to get a photo of it..

ANZ 103 is a 773 not really noteworthy but some of you might wanna photo...

Here you go, this covers the INTL side where they were referring to bay 4A.

Tim Bowrey 5th November 2011 03:27 PM

LX-TCV is opperating todays flight same as last week.

Shayne G 5th November 2011 07:37 PM

CLX771 B744 LX-TCV departed about 25 mins ago, not too much of a delay this week.

Jaryd stock 5th November 2011 07:50 PM

Only an hour not much... Is a delay when your at the beach trying to get a shot before the sun departes for the day...

Shayne G 5th November 2011 07:54 PM

Well it's last two flights were badly delayed and cargo airlines are very rarely on schedule so an hour delay is actually very good and the best so far for Cargolux ;)

If I was you I'd wait for it to miss curfew for a departure shot in the morning or catch its arrival because departures are unpredictable it seems with Cargolux in Sydney .

Nice shot Chris, Heres a shot of it from last week (sunday) Sorry a bit late.
When the aircraft was coming down alpha the sun just kept popping in and out of the clouds  and as soon as the aircraft was out of sight the sun came out.

Jaryd stock 5th November 2011 10:26 PM

Yeah I was hoping for a early morning departure when I found out about her being late. I wanna get those sun set shots, I like the dusk lighting and atmosphere and so I was abit disappointed considering we had great day today weather wise with hardly any cloud... Next week hopefully.

Brad I don't mind that shot considering light is not ideal I love shots of 74's using alpha on 16R operations...

Thanks for advice to chris also, regarding ISO levels got a good shot of Hawaian this evening in pretty poor light conditions.

Jaryd, Thanks for the post. I read it about 630 this morning and raced down to get a photo. Nice shot jayden, I got a similar angle just with a fence on the bottom:rolleyes: . I need a ladder, then a bigger car to carry the ladder. Once I have the ladder Nigel will organize a higher to be put in place:p

Jaryd stock 6th November 2011 09:32 AM

No worries Tony when I saw it was a 773 I thought yeah I'll get out of bed soon and have a lazy drive down and get a shot of it, then I realized it was the sky Eco jet and I reckon I broke the land speed record getting down there.. Great to see it I was actually wondering if we would ever get the 772 sky Eco scheme....

Nah, not me...I'm not in security ;) . But if the Tower Beach fence needs to be repaired again because of photographer spotters twisting and stretching the barbed wire on top, they might just resort to using that high stuff to stop it.

Thanks Jaryd for the heads up on JAL 777 Ecojet, sadly too short of notice for me by the time I saw but I atleast took the effort to go to the backyard to see it on departure back to Japan. I can atleast say I've seen it now... :D

Too bad some spotters just abuse the privilege of such a good location, for spotters sake I hope people stop messing around with the airport's security.

Thats a shame I was looking at getting a big ladder to get shome shots from the beach fence over summer. Hope its not like the one around the GA area. You need a cherry picker now.

Wish our fellow spotters would respect what we have and play y the rules. I know the airport has no oligation to us spotters but when they do put in new fences, it would be good to add some provisions to stick a lens in.:)

Anyway back to buisness:D. Does anyone know what Cathay cargo is coming in today. Is it a 747-8 or a silver bullet, Thanks.

Jaryd stock 6th November 2011 11:31 AM

Just a normal 744F Tony.

Does JL send the 77W to SYD on a regular basis or just a one off? I thought the daily JL flight is operated by the 772?

Jaryd stock 6th November 2011 12:00 PM

It is operated normally by a 772, the last change was a 744 year ago or maybe more, very surprised to see it and that particular one to micheal...

Iwas meaning to ask and forgot, how often before has JAL brought in a 77W was today a first or there've been in before.

Stefan Perkas 6th November 2011 12:01 PM

Michael,

JAL operate B772's into SYD. Todays B77W looks to be a 1 off according to their schedules.

Today's visit by JA731J was the 1st ever visit by a JAL B77W to Sydney and Australia. I do stand corrected on this.

Dan Collins 6th November 2011 12:54 PM

Very happy to have caught the Eco JAL 77W today, purely by chance. Also glad to have finally captured the Etihad F1! I know it's been around for a while but she's always eluded me. Couldn't stick around til 4pm for her departure, but she was parked for all to see by the GA area so that will have to do :)

Dan

The A340-500 is rare in Sydney now since Emirates and Etihad no longer bring them here (Though Etihad sometimes have the rare equipment change to A345). So really when Thai bring them here it's the only way a spotter in Sydney can catch an A340-500. They don't come everyday but they seem to turn up sometimes most months.

Rego today for Thai A340-500 is HS-TLB.

Jaryd stock 8th November 2011 08:09 AM

Not really noteworthy but MAS 6203 is operated by N761SA.. 742...

And China Southern 325 is B-6532, A332...
