A new video from Boeing on the testing of the Dreamliner. Although a little promotional, it still gives a good coverage of all aspects of the flight test program.

Quote:

It would take a cast of hundreds and locations across the globe. Scientific photographers on the ground and in chase planes would capture much of the action. In the end, in addition to rich test data, the Boeing 787 would complete flight testing with incredible images of its journey captured on video. Take a behind the scenes look at flight testing the 787.

When i was tehre last year, they were saying as soon as they started delivering them, they would really push through delivery and get it going fast... Nice to see the delivery process speeding up!

On PP forum N787BX should be heading for, or already arrived, at London-Heathrow today.
ETA keeps changing so will see.

On another note, JAL8/7 NRT-BOS has commenced, yesterday, and currently JAL7 is on its way back to NRT (Flightaware) with JA822J doing the honours!!

Whilst ANA's first B788 flight went with a lot of 'fanfare' JAL's seems to have widely gone unnoticed!!

I was in Narita on the 23rd April when I thought I will pop outside to the viewing area when I see a very different looking set of wing tips. It finally dawned on me that it was a lovely Boeing product.

Anyway I took a couple of photos. Although they are a bit embarrassing with all the talent that is on the forum. You can tell that I am not a true spotter. But I do have the excuse it started to push back in daylight hours but got dark after 3 AA pushbacks a Thai arrival and Jetstar Arrival.

Thomas Collins 19th May 2012 01:16 PM

I have had the fortune of flying on ANA's 78 between Frankfurt and Narita in Business Class.

Very quiet, smooth and spacious.

Lots of natural light thanks to the oversized windows and excellent views of the outside world.

Overall, a lovely aeroplane.
