I'm booked on the Hobart day trip for Good Friday, should be a good day just hope the weather holds out

Wouldn't you be better off just buying a cheapo airfare?? Get FF points, status, and can arrange an activity whist on the ground. Just a thought.
I used to do Mystery flights out of Sydney in the 80s. We used to pay $10 with Ansett (Air NSW) or East-WEST. I went all over the place, from Ayers Rock to Hobart, to Maroochydore. It was fantastic for a Kid to do that. Only catch back then was you went out on the flight, turned around and came back on same AC.. Mind you, the "Mystery flight" was not much of a Mystery once I got to know airport staff, as they would book me on all the jet flights, or places I hadn't been. Most of the time, had E/Crew boarding passes, hence Jump seat rides. Can you imagine that happening today?? Ahhh memories |

Oh OK, Im sorry, I was unaware it was a fundraiser.:)

does anyone know where the flight went last year? Im thinking about booking a seat on the mystery flight :)
|
I believe last year went to BNE with bus meeting pax and taking them to Australia Zoo.
|
I bet it will go up to QLD again this year to support local businesses hit hard by the floods and TC Yasi/Anthony.

As it says on the page you quoted the flights are to mainland capitals (although somehow I don't think Darwin would be one them) on regular scheduled Qantas services. I gather there are a limited number of seats available on a select number of flights, perhaps only one flight in each direction for each destination. You get a minimum of 6 hours at the destination. I have done these flights over the last three years and have been to Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. Perth was a bit of a long day, but fun all the same. I'd recommend going, plus the money goes to a good cause. For anyone interested the link to the web page on the qantas web site is: http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airl...Appeal:lang:en |
