June Noteworthy Movements

Do we not have anything noteworthy yet for June?

Or has last months' shenanigans put paid to that?

Jayden Laing 5th June 2012 07:01 PM

Only noteworthy movement I am aware of is Eva Air operating a few A332 charters into SYD over the June/July period.

BR311 Arriving from Taipei at 9:50am with BR312 departing for Taipei at 10pm. First flight is due in 28th June 2012 & the last flight due to depart on 16th July 2012.

EDIT: Royal Jet 737BBJ, A6-DAS due in tomorrow morning at 6am from SIN as "ROJ04"

Malaysia Airlines MH123/122 is being operated by B772 9M-MRM, not often we see the 772's in daylight!

Stefan Perkas 6th June 2012 08:52 AM

Morning all,

New Virgin B737-800 VH-YFL entered service this morning operating DJ912 BNE-SYD. It has sine departed to Adelaide as DJ408.

There does appear to be a "sticky" for June flights/movements that is mostly being unused :-)

Bernie P 6th June 2012 03:16 PM

Hi Mark,

If you're referring to this thread (http://yssyforum.net/board/showthread.php?t=8274), that is for New Deliveries/First Flights, which is different to this thread... :D

Mark T 7th June 2012 08:22 AM

Hi Bernie

How right you are - wasn't thinking straight :)

While I am on here I noticed that there was a B737 A6-DAS that I saw on my Basestation yesterday. I believe it arrived in Syd just before 7am yesterday morning. It is a Royal Jet from UAE.

Cheers
M

President Obama is visiting Las Vegas tomorrow (June 7 local) and today (June 6 local) the C-17 carrying his motorcade arrived. I have attached a photo below. Excuse the poor quality. I heard the thing land and only just had enough time to take my phone out and take a photo from my office window.

Morris Biondi 9th June 2012 09:51 AM

Guys 9V-OTA will make her first appearance today for Scoot, she is running late, about 1:00pm.

Hendra Barnes 9th June 2012 10:46 AM

What time does she (9V-OTA) depart mate? Hope I can make it for departure.

Brad Varney 9th June 2012 11:09 AM

Should be sooner then 1600 as their turnaround time's 3 hours.

Daniel Ayto 9th June 2012 01:43 PM

Scheduled for 2.05pm departure at the moment.

LV-CSX is operating the delayed AR1182 service, due in at 3.05pm and out at 4.40pm.
I believe this is CSX first visit to Sydney?

Andrew Coggan 9th June 2012 02:54 PM

9V-OTA jst departed and yes Daniel I too believe it to be CSX first visit if not one of the first. B-6090 is taxiing to depart as CCA174D, an uncommon site to see in the arvo.

Saw 9V-OTA overhead Richmond and thought it was running late.

Took a few pics as well as 9M-XXE o'head home earlier today.

Morris Biondi 9th June 2012 08:38 PM

I hope you all got some nice shots this afternoon, i couldn't make it, i was out and about, hence me not replying to the request for departure time. But it would have been great to be there.

Morris Biondi 9th June 2012 08:39 PM

I know it is probably old news now, but being Sunday i'm sure some of you will still be interested, a reliable source (my mate) tells me G-VEIL will be in tomorrow.

Lee G 9th June 2012 08:59 PM

Last flight of VH-OJP tomorrow - leaves as QF107 for LAX/JFK/LAX then off to KVDV

Tim Bowrey 10th June 2012 04:56 AM

Hawaiian Airlines flight HA452 from last night has been delayed until midday today. This is the first chance to catch the A330 in daylight in SYD. Rego N388HA

Gerald D 10th June 2012 01:08 PM

A Royal Jet has just left Christchurch. It is a 737 reg no.A6-DAS looks to be heading for Queenstown

Andrew Coggan 10th June 2012 10:39 PM

Tomorrow mornings UU951 is operated by 777-200ER F-ORUN instead of the usual 777-200LR. Obviously F-ORUN has visited before but not in recent times.

Morris Biondi 13th June 2012 08:20 AM

MAS should be a 777 today. 9M-MRN

Not on the MH 122, only on the MH 141 which comes in at night.
Hard to see them during the day.

callum bain 13th June 2012 08:37 PM

Was on flight radar 24 this morning and noticed a RAAF A330 MRTT of the coast.
Does anyone know what it was doing there?

regards callum

Morris Biondi 13th June 2012 09:08 PM

Can we not go down this road again please.

I said today is a 777 not tonight, as Brad said it is not common for the 777 to do the daylight service, hence my post.

Info is shared for the benefit of others, so if only 1 person benefits from it by getting photos of it or even just seeing it or logging it, then IMO it is a noteworthy movement to that individual.

Peter Agatsiotis 14th June 2012 08:23 PM

Can anyone help with an unidentified Portugeuse a/c that went into Richmond around 1pm with an ADSB callsign of Reach 973?
At first I thought it was a different HiFly a/c doing the defence charter but CS-TQL was in and out of SYD today.

Hexcode was 492492.

Jayden Laing 14th June 2012 08:31 PM

Heads up to anyone interested, tomorrow's Air Austral flight, REU951, has been upgraded to a B77W, F-OREU. It's been here before but is something different other than the usual B77L that has been flying in lately.

Putting the Hexcode into Airframes.org it shows that the aircraft is infact Boeing E6-B of the US Nav. rego/tail number 164407.

It is infact an incorrect hexcode, apprently it should be using AE0419. The code swapped after they coverted itfrom an E-6A to an E-6B.

Peter Agatsiotis 15th June 2012 08:37 AM

Cheers Stefan, had a feeling it was a miscode but thought I'd ask.

Also of interest was the regular C-17 flight which was operated by 09-9212 which is the newest C-17 to visit Richmond.

We have 2 K/air 200's on descent, N660AA (BB-1949) and N660WM (BB-1944);

Not sure if they have cleared Customs elsewhere in which case they may head to Bankstown.

Dave Dale 16th June 2012 07:48 PM

Another Qantas 737-800 came to Rockhampton today. If only they would put them on regular services instead of only military charters. Anyways, always nice to see.

Correct Tim. Been away for a couple of weeks to various destinations over Sth America, half of which I have never heard of! :p

Tim Bowrey 18th June 2012 07:48 PM

Thanks Sarah! Do you know the route it took?

Paul Hunter 18th June 2012 08:04 PM

This brochure should tell you all Tim.

Tim Bowrey 18th June 2012 08:36 PM

Thanks heaps Paul!

Grahame Hutchison 18th June 2012 08:39 PM
